Pics from Amarillo, TX

Here are some pictures we took while in Amarillo, TX. There are some of the Oasis RV Park. Notice the ones with a tent way up on top of the RV road sign. There are two brothers staying up there in a contest to see who can stay the longest. They are raising money for the Ronald McDonald House in Amarillo. There are also some pics of the campground itself. It was a really nice one. The laundry was free to use. It costs up to $4.00 at other parks to wash and dry a load. So, I did 8 loads while we were there. Since we only paid $50 to stay for two nights and I did $32 worth of laundry, I'd say we got a good deal at this campground. The there are pictures we took of the Palo Duro Canyon that is about 40 miles south of Amarillo. I wrote in my blog that this canyon is so unexpected. You go from miles of just flat land and it suddendly just drops into this 1000 ft deep canyon. There are also pics of the Cadillac Ranch. This is just a large field of cattle with 10 backends of Cadillacs sticking out of the ground. People come here and spray paint the Cadillacs day after day. Sometimes the cows are close and other days (like the day we were there) you don't see any cattle. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics.
